Mary Bruhn (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mary Jewell Bruhn, daughter of Theon and Alta Rogers Blattel, was born June 18, 1949, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Thursday, June 14, 2012, in Christian Health Care South, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-two years, eleven months, and twenty-six days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a great-granddaughter, Hailey Dawn Owen; a brother, Larry Blattel; and a sister, Joann Blattel.
Mary is survived by two daughters, Berlinda Owen, and her husband, Scott, and Tammy Bruhn, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, James “Eddie” Bruhn, and his wife, Kristy, of Springfield, Missouri; five grandchildren, Scotty, Elijah, Michalla, Megan, and Ethan; three great-grandchildren, Aiden, Colton, and Kian; two brothers, Billy Blattel, and his wife, Janie, and Wayne Blattel, and his wife, Lois, all of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Louetta Cromer, and her husband, Bud, Pauline Thomas, and Shirley Blue, and her husband, Buddy, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Teresa Waters, of Lebanon, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was raised in the Eldridge and Prosperine areas, and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. She did housekeeping for her sisters and was a devoted homemaker to her family.
Mary had made her profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Prosperine Baptist Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed fishing, collecting antiques, and going to yard sales. She was always a hard worker with a lot of determination, and was a free spirit. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them throughout the years.
