Mary F. Collins (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Mary Francis Collins, age 91, of Elkland, Missouri, entered into rest on Sunday, July 9, 2023, at Buffalo Prairie Care Center in Buffalo, Missouri.
Mary was born on April 16, 1932, in Hyde Park, Massachusetts to the late Frank and Mary (Martel) Toloczko. Mary received her bachelor’s degree in education with dietitian studies. She became a dietitian and worked for St. Francis Hospital in Wichita.
Mary loved her family and really loved to cook for them. She was known for her banana bread, cakes, pies, and her fried chicken. Mary had a servant heart. She would give you the shirt off her back if you needed. She, along with her son, would raise numerous tomato plants to donate to heart to heart.
Mary was preceded by her parents, one son Francis Keith Collins, granddaughter Shawna Grace Owensby, siblings Jennie Koskey, John Tolotska, Sophie Swanson, Helen Linowski, Mitchell Toloczko, Felix Toloczko, and Stanley Toloczko. She is survived by her children Edgar Collins, Bob Collins, and Cathy Ellis, grandchildren Melissa Collins Burke and husband Conner and Austin Nixon, great grandchildren Jesse Hawkins, Jonathan Hawkins, Luna Burke, and Athea Burke.
In accordance with Mary’s wishes, there will be no formal services at this time. A celebration of life will be held, and details will be announced as they become available.
