Mary Bell Cornelison (Seymour)'s Obituary
Mary Bell (Hargis) Cornelison was born Sunday, July 12, 1931, in Marshfield, Missouri, and passed away in the early morning hours of Thursday, August 23, 2018, at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Missouri. Mary Bell was eighty-seven years, one month and eleven days of age.
Mary Bell was raised in Fordland, Missouri, and attended Fordland schools. On August 16, 1952, she was united in marriage to Carl Cornelison, Sr. They raised five children and spent forty-three years together until his passing in September 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Opal (Pogue) Hargis, and husband, Carl.
She is survived by four sons, Carl Gene Cornelison of Springfield, Missouri; Keith and Joanna Cornelison of Seymour; Tom and Debby Cornelison of Mt. Vernon, Missouri; Tim and Kim Cornelison of Fordland; a daughter, Judy and Steve Potter of Mtn. Grove, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren, Mike and Leslie Cornelison, Scott Cornelison, Shelly Lee, Zachary Cornelison, Crystal and Gary Hunter, Candice Hickey, Joe and Carly Hickey, Christy Harness, Brian Cornelison, Nicole and John Halstead, Tarah and Christopher Palacio, Kyle Cornelison, Lisa Owens, and Lindy and Travis Sturdefant; twenty-four great-grandchildren; and sister, Kathleen Conley.
Mary Bell enjoyed embroidery and was known for her love of porcelain dolls and tea pots; she had beautiful collections of both.
