Mary Decker's Obituary
Mary Magdaline Decker, daughter of Henry Richard and Lora Helen Morgan Decker, was born April 8, 1938, near Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Friday, January 26, 2007, in Christian Healthcare North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-eight years, nine months, and eighteen days. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Helen Marie Reid; and two brothers, William and George Decker. Mary is survived by a daughter, Charlene Baker, and her husband, Mike, of Phillipsburg, Missouri; five sons, Richard Decker, and his wife, Dee Ann, of Washburn, Missouri, Homer Reid, of Lebanon, Missouri, Leon Reid, and Kenny Reid, both of Phillipsburg, Missouri, and Johnny Reid, of Lebanon, Missouri; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charlie Decker, of Lebanon, Missouri, Raymond Decker, of Wheatland, Missouri, and David Decker, of Springdale, Arkansas; three sisters, Pearl Builderback, of Hermitage, Missouri, Phyllis Marcum, of Pea Ridge, Arkansas, and Lola Reid, of Lebanon, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in Laclede County, Missouri. She made her home in Arkansas for a few years, but lived most of her life in the Lebanon community. Throughout the years, Mary was a devoted homemaker and loving mother to her family. Mary had attended Thomas Chapel Church, near Lebanon, for several years. In her spare time she enjoyed watching television, listening to music, and working crossword puzzles. While making her home in the care center, she had enjoyed playing bingo and helping in the gift shop when she was able. Her family was always very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, January 29, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Lebanon. Burial will be in the Crossroads Cemetery. Visitation will be held Sunday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
