Mary Finn's Obituary
Mary E. Finn, daughter of Phillip E. and Elizabeth Kuhn Hogan, was born November 1, 1922, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, March 11, 2009, in the Lutheran Home, in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, at the age of eighty-six years, four months, and ten days. On June 20, 1942, she was united in marriage to Hilson Avery Finn, and to this union two daughters and three sons were born. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hilson, on September 7, 2004; a daughter, Barbara Baldwin; a son, Mickey Finn; four brothers; and a sister. Mary is survived by a daughter, Patricia Vogt, and her husband, Fred, of Cape Girardeau, Missouri; two sons, Stanley Finn, and his wife, Marilyn, of Springfield, Missouri, and John Finn, and his wife Raquel, of Miami, Florida; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; a brother, Phillip Hogan, and his wife, Dee, of Burton, Michigan; three nieces; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. She was born and raised in the Lebanon, Missouri area and graduated from Lebanon High School. After she and Hilson were married, they made their home in the Lebanon community, and lovingly raised their children. Throughout the years, Mary was a devoted and hardworking homemaker to her husband and family. In 2005, she moved to the Joy Assisted Living Center in Springfield and then to the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau in the last few weeks. Mary was a longtime member of St. Frances DeSales Catholic Church in Lebanon and was active in the ladies organization for many years. She also belonged to the V.F.W. Post # 4107 Ladies Auxiliary. In her spare time she enjoyed doing crocheting and sewing, and centered her life on her husband and children. Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and will treasure the wonderful memories she created for her family and friends Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday March 14, 2009 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burial will be in the Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 1:00 pm until time os service on Saturday under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri.
