Mary Foster's Obituary
Mary L. “Granny” Foster, age 81, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Thursday evening, November 12, 2009 at her home in Bolivar, Missouri. She was born in Limon, Colorado to Charles William Knouse and Cora Lucinda Parrott Knouse. She was a homemaker and attended the Mt. Etna Baptist Church in Bolivar, Missouri. She so enjoyed her grandkids and was one of the hardest workers you would ever meet. She worked on several dairy farms in the area, she wallpapered houses, and numerous other jobs to provide for her family. She was a strong woman having raised eleven children. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Henry John Stutenkemper in 1966, her second husband, Joe Foster in 1991, a baby Infant Foster, Mike Foster in 1973, Bud Stutenkemper in 1990 and John Stutenkemper 2003. Granny is survived by her five sons, Tony Stutenkemper of Bolivar, Missouri, David Stutenkemper and his wife Denise of Bolivar, Missouri, Elvin Foster and his wife Karen of Bolivar, Missouri, Brad Foster and his wife Carol of Boise, Idaho, Rodney Foster and his wife Dawna of Oklahoma, three daughters, Carolyn Page and her husband Ron of Halfway, Missouri, Jolene Flint and her husband Bill of Bolivar, Missouri, Linda Thompson and her husband Bill of Kansas City, Missouri, 14 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.Funeral services will be held at 11:00am, Wednesday, November 18, 2009 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri with Rev. Gineth Hudson officiating. Musical selection will be “Mansion Over The Hilltop” by Slim Whitman, “Amazing Grace” by Charlie Pride with a DVD Presentation to be shown during the service with the song “When I Get Where I’m Going” by Brad Paisley and Dolly Parton. Burial will follow at the Mt. Olive Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00am, Wednesday prior to service time at the funeral home. Pallbearers will be Kevin Crites, Randy Aug, Eric Roberts, Doug Wooderson, Jamie Long and Larry Rotramel. Honorary Pallbearers will be Harold Holt, Gerald Holt, Kenneth Holt, David Cribbs, Darrol Cribbs, Mendel Williams, James Houk and Lowell Blankenship.
