Mary Lou Henson (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mary Lou Henson, daughter of John H. and Cloah E. Appleberry Ruble, was born November 3, 1940, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, January 29, 2014, in Christian Health and Rehabilitation Center North, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-three years, two months, and twenty-six days.
She was united in marriage to Paul W. “Sleepy” Henson, who preceded her in death.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; a son, Randy Garrett; and two brothers, Henry and Lonnie Ruble.
Mary Lou is survived by a daughter, Pamalla Richardson, and her husband, Zane, of Tunas, Missouri; two grandsons, Brandon Richardson, and Mitchell Garrett, both of Lebanon, Missouri; three great-grandchildren, Tequila, Jayden Nicolle, and KaitLynne Riley-Dawn; three brothers, Donnie Ruble, and his wife, Martha, Leslie Rubles, and his wife, Debra, and Robert Leo Rubles, and his wife, Carolyn, all of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Katherine Files, and Connie Anderson, and her husband, Donnie, all of Lebanon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area, and received her education here. After she and Paul were married, they made their home near Lebanon, and lovingly raised their children. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband and family, Mary Lou also worked as a nurses’ aide at Christian Health Care for awhile. She also worked for B & D Truck Port for several years.
Mary Lou had recently made her profession of faith in Christ and had been associated with Pentecostal churches throughout her life.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading, listening to music, particularly country and gospel songs, and watching movies. She also liked being outdoors. Her family was very important to her and she especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Lou was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home. Friends may call at their convenience.
