Mary Juanita Bowers (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mary Juanita Bowers, age 66, of Halfway, Missouri passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at her home in Halfway, Missouri.
She was born March 15, 1944 in Watson, Arkansas to Lewis Curtis and Dollie (Lawler) Curtis.
Mary was married on August 10, 1972 in Kalamazoo, Michigan to David Allen Bowers.
She was a homemaker and had such great love for her husband and family. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star Mizpah Lodge #230 in Bolivar, Missouri. She was Past Grand Officer of The Order of Eastern Star in the State of Missouri and was also a member of the Social Order of the Beauceant.
Mary is survived by her husband, David Allen Bowers of the home, four sons, Michael Bowers of New Mexico, Jack Bowers and his wife Kim of Bowling Green, Kentucky, Stephen Bowers and his wife Theresa of Bolivar, Missouri, David Bowers of Halfway, Missouri, two daughters, Kathleen Wernimont of Decatur, Texas, Joanne McClure of Alpharetta, Georgia, two brothers, Lewis “Buck” Curtis of Brilliant, Alabama, Michael Curtis of Riceville, Tennessee, two sisters, Norma Vaughn of Athens, Tennessee, Sherree Johns of Cleveland, Tennessee, 13 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be held at 1:00pm, Friday, September 10, 2010 at the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections will be “Wind Beneath My Wings” and “Amazing Grace”. There will be an Order Of Eastern Star ceremony following the Memorial Service. Private burial of Mary’s cremains will be in Tennessee
