She departed this life Wednesday, March 4, 2009, in Cox Medical Center South, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of sixty-four years, one month, and twenty-six days. On July 4, 1983, she was united in marriage to Harold Dean Lancaster, and they shared the last twenty-five years. Her parents preceded her in death. Mary is survived by her husband, Dean, of the home; three sons, Danny Reagan, and Kenny Reagan, both of Granite City, Illinois, and Carl Lancaster, of Highland, Illinois; a daughter, DeAnna Lancaster, of Belleville, Illinois; six grandchildren; her father, Wayne E. Merriman, of Lebanon, Missouri; a brother, “Sonny” Yount, of Arab, Missouri; two sisters, Glenda Downs, of the State of Tennessee, and Nancy Miller, of Granite City, Illinois; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. While living in Illinois, she met her future husband, Dean, and moved to Texas to be near him in 1981. After they were married, they continued to make their home in Texas until moving to Lebanon, Missouri, in 1993. In addition to being a devoted homemaker to her husband, she also worked at the B & D, Sand Springs, and What’s Cookin’ Restaurants in Lebanon. For the last few years, she had worked as a sales clerk and beauty advisor at the Walgreen’s Store in Lebanon. Mary had established her own personal relationship with her Lord and Savior, and had attended the Second Baptist Church in Lebanon. In her spare time she enjoyed doing craft projects of various kinds, reading, and working crossword puzzles. She loved her family dearly and especially enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren. Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend.
