Mary Liles' Obituary
Mary Beth Liles, daughter of Walter Warren and Goldie Rosanne (Friend) Liles, was born December 25, 1964, in Springfield, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, February 9, 2009, in her home, near Hartville, Missouri, at the age of forty-four years, one month, and fifteen days.
She was preceded in death by her father; and a sister, Betty Smotherman.
Mary is survived by her mother, Goldie Hicks, of the home; five brothers, Roy Liles, and his wife, Annette, of Hartville, Missouri, Frankie Liles, and his wife, Margaret, of Clarkton, Missouri, Johnny Liles, of Hartville, Missouri, Walter Liles, of Olathe, Kansas, and Carl Liles, of Hartville, Missouri; two sisters, Janice Estes, and Barbara Liles, both of Hartville, Missouri; a niece, who was like a sister, Janice Liles, of Hartville, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
She was raised in the Mansfield and Ava areas and attended Ava High School. She loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews and was known as “Mommy Mary” to Cathy Robertson and Kevin Liles.
While living in Mansfield she attended the Baptist Church.
In her spare time she always enjoyed staying busy, it didn’t matter what she was doing as long as she was doing something. She also loved animals.
Mary was a kind and caring person with a big heart. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We celebrate her life and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.
Graveside services will be 9:30 A.M., Friday, February 13, 2009, in Prairie Hollow Cemetery, in Douglas County, Missouri, under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, of Hartville. A memorial has been established and may be made through Holman-Howe Funeral Home, P.O. Box 236, Hartville, Missouri 65667.
