Mary Lou Williams (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Mary Lou Williams, daughter of William James, Jr. and Mary M. Davis Mack, was born July 26, 1940, in Cincinnati, Ohio. She departed this life Thursday, May 12, 2011, in her home, Camdenton, Missouri, at the age of seventy years, nine months and sixteen days.
In 1977, she was united in marriage to John Vernon Williams and together they shared many happy years of marriage. He preceded her in death on January 16, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; her sister Ruth Ann Mack; two brothers-in-law, Bob Williams and Lee Mace.
Survivors include two sisters, Nancy Jane Simmons of Cincinnati, Ohio, and Billie Jo Bradford; two sisters-in-law, Joyce Mace of Osage Beach, Missouri, and Ruby Williams of Kaiser, Missouri; a brother-in-law, Carl Williams and wife Ilene of Osage Beach, Missouri; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
Mary was raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. In the late 1960’s she moved to the lake area where she owned and operated a hotel and restaurant. She later helped her husband, John Vernon, in Williams Motors and also worked at Gerbes Market for several years.
Mary was an animal lover. She was a supporter of the Blue Moon Sanctuary and helped rescue stray animals. She named all the animals on the farm and was so gentle that hummingbirds would sit on her shoulders.
We celebrate her life and her accomplishments and will treasure the memories she created for her family and friends.
