Mary Lyon (Humansville)'s Obituary
Mary Lyon, age 78, passed away Wednesday, October 7, 2020 at her home in Flemington, Missouri. On October 24, 1941, Mary was born to Elza and Marcie (Dawson) Cloven in St. Louis, Missouri. Mary was raised and lived in the Southwest Missouri area most of her life. She worked several jobs, throughout her life, including waitressing for her grandmother, working payouts for the Haris Casino, and her favorite, working as a steel press operator at a rail tie manufacturer. Mary said she enjoyed working at the steel plant because she was the only woman on the job and she was in charge. When Mary wasn't working, she enjoyed painting and especially loved taking care of her grandchildren.
Mary is survived by her son, Daniel Lyon (Desarae), her two daughters, Angel and Debby Webster, thirteen grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren, three sisters, Naomi Crewse, Pauline Brown, and Cathy Moss, her brother, Truman Cloven, and many other relatives and caring friends.
Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald and a son, David Freeman Jr.
Services for Mary are under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Humansville, Missouri.
