Mary Margaret Foley (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mary Margaret Foley, daughter of Charles C. and Annie Barnes Rupard, was born February 2, 1934, in Columbia, Missouri. She departed this life Monday, January 27, 2014, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of seventy-nine years, eleven months, and twenty-five days.
On March 1, 1953, she was united in marriage to Joe Donald Foley, and to this union three daughters and two sons were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Joe, on March 25, 2005; a son, Michael Joe Foley; and two brothers, J. C. and Charles Rupard.
Mary Margaret is survived by a son, Brian Foley, and his wife, Sieglinde, of Lebanon, Missouri; three daughters, Sheila Darnell, and her husband, Richard, of Phillipsburg, Missouri, Donna Willcockson, and her husband, David, of Long Lane, Missouri, and Melissa Wells, of Lebanon, Missouri; fifteen grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Malin, of Scottsdale, Arizona, and Beverly Baker, of Columbia, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born and raised in Columbia, Missouri, and attended school there. After she and Joe were married, they made their home in the Kansas City, Missouri area and Mary was a devoted homemaker and mother to her family. Eventually, the family moved to Lebanon, Missouri, where Mary and Joe would enjoy their retirement years.
Mary Margaret was raised in the Nazarene faith and later followed the Baptist faith. She was currently an active member of the Community Baptist Church in Lebanon.
In her spare time she greatly enjoyed being outdoors where she could often be found searching for mushrooms, fishing or camping. She always liked being well informed and was steadfast in her opinions and convictions. Her family was very important to her and she especially liked having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mary Margaret was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her seventy-nine years.
