Mary Percival (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Mary Ethel Percival, daughter of the late George S. and Bertha A. (Scott) Glor was born on November 5, 1932 in Urbana, MO and departed this life on November 13, 2019 in Buffalo, MO. At the time of her passing she was 87 years and 7 days of age.
Mary was reared near Urbana, MO and graduated from Tunas High School. She was united in marriage to Clarance I. Percival on December 16, 1950 and to this union three sons were born, all of whom survive her. They moved several times before settling back in Urbana, MO in 1972. Mary worked as a cook for several schools and was a babysitter for many families. In her spare time, she enjoyed quilting, making candy, reading, crocheting, and researching and cataloging local cemeteries. She was an active member of the board for Pleasant Ridge Cemetery and the Little Niangua Cemetery for many years. Mary was very proud of the work she did for the cemeteries, and always made sure they were well maintained.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; her parents; ten brothers, Elwood, Elmer, Eldon, Elbert, Elven, Paul, Carl, Melvin, George, and Elwayne Glor; and one daughter-in-law, Betty Percival. She is survived by her three sons, Rickie & wife Glenda Percival of Phillipsburg, MO, Johnnie Percival of Conway, MO, and Ronnie & wife Beverly Percival of Urbana, MO; nine grandchildren, Stephanie Percival, Scott Percival, Mark Percival, Michael Percival, Jacob Percival, Stephen Percival, Samuel Percival, Laura Windsor, and MaryAnn Boro; and 22 and one more on the way great-grandchildren. She also leaves other family members and friends who will all truly miss her.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 16, 2019 at the Calvary Chapel Freewill Baptist Church in Buffalo. Escorts will be Scott Percival, Mark Percival, Michael Percival, Jacob Percival, Stephen Percival, and Samuel Percival. Honorary escorts will be Stephanie Percival, Laura Windsor, and MaryAnn Boro. Interment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery under the care and direction of the Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. Visitation will be from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery Fund.
