Mary Lou Robertson (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mary Lou was born to Claude and Pearl Barber on June 30, 1935, at home in Polk, MO. She passed away on October 4, 2025 at CMHCF in Bolivar, MO with her family at her bedside. Mary Lou was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Pearl Barber, husband Albert Eugene Robertson (Tom), daughter Marth Lou McCullough, son Albert Eugene Robertson (Gene), brothers: Forrest Barber, Benny Barber, David Barber and Richard Barber, sister Martha Ann Raider, and two grandchildren, Thomas and Albert Jones. Mary Lou is survived by her daughters, Belinda Jones and Denise Isley. She has 12 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren. Numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She will be missed greatly. She was saved in 1947 at the age of 12. The school let the students out to attend a revival at the Mt. View Missionary Baptist Church in Polk, MO next door and she was saved at the revival. She was a member of Lindley Creek Missionary Baptist Church in Polk County, MO. Mary Lou worked all her life. She raised her children and some of her grandchildren. Mary worked at Baker Management with the mentally disabled for many years. Delivered Penny Power for 10 years. Her hobbies over the years included hunting and fishing, ceramics, gardening and canning, sewing clothes for her kids, and making quilts. Her favorite song was: “I Need No Mansion” and she loved yellow roses. Graveside services will be October 18, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at Mt. View Cemetery in Polk, MO.
