Mary Ann Seymour (Lebanon)'s Obituary
MaryAnn Seymour was born July 29, 1944, in Greenville, Texas, to the late Charles L. Husbands
and Doris E. Swan Husbands. She departed this life on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at Cedarhurst
Assisted Living in Lebanon, Missouri. At the time of her passing, she was seventy-nine years
old.
She spent her early years in Texas and then moved with her family to Littleton, Colorado, in
1950. She completed her schooling in Colorado, earning her bachelor’s degree from Colorado
State University.
On June 4, 1966, MaryAnn was united in marriage to Robert Lynn Seymour, and they shared
forty-nine wonderful years before his passing on July 5, 2015. Robert served in the U.S. Army,
and MaryAnn was a proud Army wife.
She is survived by two sons, Scott Seymour and his wife Jackie of Lebanon, Missouri; Carl
Seymour and his wife Kim of Grand Rapids, Michigan; two grandchildren, Kaitlyn and James;
and her brother, Charles Husbands of Lexington, Massachusetts.
MaryAnn was an elementary school teacher for over thirty years, mostly in Kindergarten. She
loved children and had a gift for teaching and inspiring young minds to learn. She retired from
teaching in 2010. She was a part-time writer and published a few books, including "Around The
Square" and "Butterfly Messages".
She loved attending her kids and grandkids numerous activities, rarely missing an event. She
was active with the Methodist Church and frequently volunteered for ALS and Veterans causes.
In 2017, she moved to Michigan to be close to her son Carl and his family. In October 2023, she
moved to Lebanon to be near Scott.
MaryAnn was an incredible mother and grandmother. She loved her family, and spending time
with them brought her immense joy. MaryAnn will be remembered for her kindness, love of
family, and dedication to family and friends.
Mary Ann will be returned to Fort Logan Cemetery in Denver, Colorado to be laid to rest next to her husband, Robert.
