Mary McGuire Sherrer (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mary Kay McGuire Sherrer, daughter of Lester “Tucker” and Violet I. Looney McGuire, was born July 28, 1963, in Waverly, Missouri. She departed this life Wednesday, April 8, 2015, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of fifty-one years, eight months, and eleven days.
She was preceded in death by a nephew, David Stout; her maternal grandparents, Bill and Sophie Looney; and her paternal grandparents, John Blue and Gracie McGuire.
Mary is survived by three daughters, Bambi Johnson, and her husband, Tim, Melissa Waterworth, and Tara King, and her husband, Alex, all of Lebanon, Missouri; a son, Chris Waterworth, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Zane, Tyler, Dax, Leif, Keeton, Emah, Jewelie, Briana, and Braelyn; her parents, Tucker and Violet McGuire, of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother, Rick Wedelstadt, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Ellen Dulle, and her husband, Tom, Susie Cuendet, and her husband, Gary, all of Camdenton, Missouri, and Leslie Arnold, and Carl, of Springfield, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
She was born in Waverly, Missouri, and was raised in Lebanon, Missouri, where she attended Lebanon R-III Schools. She continued to make her home in Lebanon and was a devoted homemaker and mother and also worked for the H. D. Lee Company for a number of years. Later, she worked at various different jobs and then was a caregiver to members of her family and friends. She had made her home in Camdenton for the last ten years.
Mary had attended Pleasant Hill Baptist Church near Camdenton through the years.
In her spare time she enjoyed going to the river where she liked to camp and float with her family, and she also enjoyed shopping and having Sushi with the girls. Spending time with her children and grandchildren meant the most to her and she loved them dearly.
Mary was a loving mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
