Mary Turner's Obituary
Mary Ann Turner, daughter of Clarence James and Laverne M. Dobbs Prock, was born June 21, 1967, in Mountain Grove, Missouri. She departed this life January 28, 2007, at the age of thirty-nine years, seven months, and seven days. She was preceded in death by her father. Mary is survived by her four children, Amanda Prock, Andy Turner, and Jamie Turner, all of Mountain Grove, Missouri, Michael Turner of Kansas City, MO.; a step-son, Robert Perkins, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; her mother, Laverne Prock, of Mountain Grove, Missouri; three grandchildren, Izaak, Zacharius, and Brayden; a sister; Lola Coble, of Lynchburg, Missouri; and a special friend, Harvey Perkins; and her former in-laws, Ronnie & Wilma Turner of Mountain Grove, Missouri. She was born in Mountain Grove, and grew up in the Plato area, where she graduated from the Plato High School. She then returned to Wright County and lived in the Manes area the rest of her life. At the time of her passing, Mary was working at the Hartville Care Center. She was also a devoted homemaker, who loved raising her children and grandchildren, and greatly enjoyed spending time with her family and especially her grandchildren. In her spare time, Mary loved to shop. She also enjoyed giving gifts, cooking for her family, being with friends, watching movies, and had a love for beautiful flowers. Mary was a loving mother, step-mother, daughter, grandmother, sister, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories she has created for her family and many friends. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 31, 2007, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Hartville. Burial will be in Mount Carney Cemetery, North of Manes. Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 7 - 8:30 p.m. under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Hartville, Missouri.
