Mary Maxine Tyler, 85, Rushville, Mo, passed away Tuesday, February 21, 2012 at Glenwood Healthcare in Seymour, Mo.
Mary was born October 21, 1926 in Rushville, Mo, the daughter of Emmitt and Georgia Southard (Merritt). She was a lifelong member of the Rushville Christian Church, and lived in the Rushville and Atchison area for most of her life. She moved to Seymour, MO in the last years of her life to be near her daughter, granddaughter, and newly arrived great granddaughter. She was a loving mother to her children, a devoted grandmother, and a beloved “Aunt Mary” to a host of nieces and nephews. Mary was preceded in death by 2 brothers and 3 sisters. She is survived by her son, John (Toby) Tyler, a very special niece Earline Southard of Atchison; a daughter, Jeanna Tiedemann of Seymour, Mo; granddaughter Shelbi Tiedemann and great granddaughter, Maryjane Stevens of Nixa, Mo; and many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
Mary's wishes were to have creamation. Services will be held at a date to be announced by the family.
