Mary Virginia Scott (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mrs. Mary Virginia Scott, age 85, of Bolivar, Missouri passed away on Wednesday afternoon, April 27, 2011 at Citizen’s Memorial Hospital in Bolivar, Missouri.
She was born January 19, 1926 in Bolivar, Missouri to Harry Clark Johnson and Lydia Susan (Stambaugh) Johnson.
On August 19, 1948 she married Mynatt William Scott in Bolivar, Missouri.
Mary Virginia was a homemaker, caring for her family, and a faithful member of the First Christian Church in Bolivar, Missouri.
Mary Virginia is survived by her husband; Mynatt William Scott of the home, one daughter; Elizabeth Anne Crosswhite of Ness City, Kansas, a sister-in-law; Josephine Johnson of El Dorado Springs, Missouri, three grandchildren; Clay S. Crosswhite, Lindsey A. Frusher, Samantha V. Hodges, one great granddaughter; Hazel L. Hodges, two cousins; Modena Mitchell, Helen (Cunningham) Breshears, and her loving nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held from 1:00-2:00pm, Saturday afternoon, April 30, 2011 at the First Christian Church in Bolivar, Missouri. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Saturday, at the First Christian Church in Bolivar with Reverend Jerry Book officiating under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar, Missouri. Burial will follow at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bolivar, Missouri. Musical selections will be “Leaning On The Everlasting Arms” and “There Is A Fountain” by David & Jean Vincent and Vickie Sowers. Pallbearers will be Clay S. Crosswhite, Craig S. Crosswhite, A.J. Ellis, J.D. Hodges, Jake Jacobson and Fred W. Johnson.
