Mary Ann Wade (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mary Wade was born November 23, 1932 to Roy Arnett and Eliza “Trudy” Bryant Arnett in Pryor, Oklahoma. She passed away Saturday, March 16, 2024 in her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was ninety-one years, three months and twenty-three days of age at the time of her passing.
Mary spent the early part of her life in Oklahoma and moved with her family to Modesto, California when she was a child. Following her graduation from Oakdale High School in Modesto, she met and married her true love and best friend, Lloyd Leon Wade. They were married in California on New Year’s Eve in 1952 and then moved to the Detroit, Michigan area.
Lloyd was originally from Lebanon, Missouri and in 1974, they moved to Lebanon where Mary would be employed at R&S Floral in Lebanon.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd, on April 11, 2000; her son, Larry Wade; her son-in-law, Charles Baugher, Sr.; her brother, Warren Arnett; and three sisters, Lillian Deems, Betty Cauthron and Geneva Willis.
She is survived by her children, Richard Wade of Lebanon, Missouri, Kevin Wade of Richland, Missouri and Sherry Baugher of Toledo, Ohio; her sister, Sandra Arnett of Marionville, Missouri; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Mary loved to read and enjoyed watching sports. Her favorite things to watch were the Kansas City Chiefs, the World Series and NASCAR. She also enjoyed watching Jeopardy.
She loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, and was ready to spend eternity in Heaven. She had been a longtime member at Hayes Street Church of Christ. Her family and her church were primary in her life.
Mary was a woman of deep faith, finding solace and strength in her spiritual journey. Her life was a testament to the values of love, compassion, and kindness. She leaves behind a legacy of love and service that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing her.
