Mary Christine Williams (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mary Christine Williams, daughter of Joseph and Jean Burris Wolford, was born March 29, 1936, near Houston, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, September 30, 2017, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation, at the age of eighty-one years, six months, and three days.
In May of 1954, she was united in marriage to Carl Eugene Williams and they shared eighteen years before his passing in September of 1972.
She was also preceded in death by her parents.
Mary is survived by a sister, Carol Brown, of White Hall, Illinois; three brothers, Howard Wolford, and his wife, Carolyn, of Houston, Missouri, Tom Wolford, and his wife Diana, of Olive Branch, Mississippi, Stephen Wolford, of San Antonio, Texas; several nieces and nephews including Darren, Andrew, Christopher, Laurie, Melanie, Brian, and Stephanie.
She was born and raised in the Houston, Missouri area. After graduating from Houston High School, she relocated with her husband, Carl, to the Lebanon area. She continued her education at Drury University. Around 1992, Mary worked at Fort Leonard Wood with the Army Corp of Engineers.
She enjoyed reading, and liked hunting for treasures while antiquing. She especially loved her nieces and nephews. She appreciated nature’s beauty and particularly liked sunflowers.
Mary was a loving sister, aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that her family and friends will cherish the wonderful memories she created for them during her lifetime.
