Maryhelen Koeberl (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Maryhelen Barbara Koeberl, daughter of Ralph Peter and Helen Harlan Schimberg, was born, July 22, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. She departed this life, Thursday, January 24, 2013, in her home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of eighty-one years, six months and two days.
On January 14, 1950 in Park Ridge, Illinois, she was united in marriage to Victor Fred Koeberl and to this union three children were born. Together they shared sixty-one years of marriage until his passing on October 22, 2011.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and a great-grandchild.
Survivors include three children, Walter Steven Koeberl and wife Duane Marie of Battle Creek, Michigan, Vic Alan Koeberl and wife Melissa of Clovis, California and Laura Ann Koeberl of Camdenton, Missouri; four grandchildren, Tiffany, Shelli, Michelle and Brian; eleven great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and many friends.
Maryhelen was raised in Chicago and later lived in Park Ridge, Illinois. After she and Vic were married they made their home in North Brook, Illinois. They started visiting the Lake of the Ozarks in the 1950’s and in 1965, they moved to the lake. They owned and operated Koeberl Sportswear, Gift and Tackle for many years. She later owned several locations of This N That Antiques.
Maryhelen made a profession of faith and was a member of Montgomery Baptist Church.
In her spare time she enjoyed reading and was a Civil War buff. Her passion was antiques and enjoyed restoring old items.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and aunt and a caring neighbor and friend. She touched many lives and her memory will linger on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
