Maurice N. Stoutzenberger (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Mr. Maurice N. Stoutzenberger, age 84 of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away at 5:30 PM Tuesday, November 9, 2010 at the Citizens Memorial Healthcare Facility in Bolivar, Missouri.
He was born on September 20, 1926 in Lee's Summit, Missouri the son of William Ezra Belknap Stoutzenberger and Dorothy Leone (Nicely) Stoutzenberger.
On July 3, 1948 he married Shirley Cave in Des Moines, Iowa. He moved to Missouri in 1977.
He worked for Persia Milling Company, Carson Feed & Grain, Nehawka Farmers Co-Op, Porter See House, Longs Hardware, Citizen’s Memorial Hospital, and was currently retired owner of Me-Shy Locksmith in Bolivar, Missouri.
Maurice was a U. S. Army Veteran of World War II, member of the Bolivar United Methodist Church in Bolivar, Missouri, the Masonic Lodge, was a former volunteer firefighter in Persia, Iowa and past School Board Member in Persia, Iowa.
His biggest hobby was working on his 1928 Dodge. He enjoyed camping and working with his hands. He enjoyed his trains, cards and dominos.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, Mary Alice Boruff, one son, Earl Arthur Stoutzenberger, a sister, Olive Jean Wiig and a grandson, James Ezra Stoutzenberger.
Surviving is his wife of 63 years, Shirley Stoutzenberger of the couples home in Bolivar; his son Belknap Stoutzenberger and wife Evelyn of Council Bluffs, IA; his daughter Eula Green and husband Kevan of Carson, IA; his daughter-in-law Catherine Stoutzenberger of Morrisville, MO; his sister Maxine Tate of Council Bluffs, IA., 9 grandchildren, Aaron Stoutzenberger, Sarah Stoutzengerger, Adam Green and his wife Stephanie, Kelli Bush and her husband Jason, Cassandra Green, Jesse Boyd, David Galloway and his wife Tia, Hollie Stapleton and her husband Keith, Tina Lutin and her husband Joe, and 15 great grandchildren, Devan Green, Bridgette Weber, Hannah Bush, Haley Bush, Lauren Miller, Daniel Galloway, Devin Galloway, Andrea Galloway, David Galloway, Darian Galloway, Ethan Stapleton, Elizabeth Stapleton, Jo Leigh Lutin, Jacob Lutin and Jackson Lutin, many nieces and nephews.
At Mr. Stoutzenbergers’s request there will be no viewing or memorial services held. Arrangements are under the care and direction of the Butler Funeral Home of Bolivar, Missouri.
