Max Eagleburger (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Max Eugene Eagleburger was the 12th child born to Orval Charles and Lema Jane Vinyard Eagleburger, on May 3, 1944. He departed his earthly life on September 2, 2020 at his home in Elkland, MO.
Max was united in marriage to Joetta Sue Jefferis on November 20, 1964. From this union was born five children.
He is survived by his wife, Joetta, of the home; her sons, Jeffery Max and wife Pam, of Buffalo, Bradley Kent and wife Lori, of Fair Grove, and Jason Wayne and wife Stacy, of Elkland; two daughters, Teresa Lynn Gavisk and husband Brian, of Springfield and Christin Rene Dancy and husband Travis, of Ozark; 12 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Shirly Farrell, of Fair Grove; four brothers, Dean, of Washington state, Lloyd, of Springfield, Don, of Fair Grove, and Larry, of Buffalo; numerous nieces and nephews. Max was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and four brothers.
Max’s family moved to a farm on CC, highway west of Fair Grove, when he was a toddler. He attended all of his school years at Fair Grove schools, where he participated in sports. Max was very social and loved his mules and trail rides.
After years of hard work, his greatest pride was his family. It is said, the measure of success is to leave the world better. Max left five smart, hardworking and family-oriented children.
A private visitation limited to family only will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 pm Thursday, September 10, 2020 in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo, Missouri.
