Maxine Leona Clark (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Maxine Leona May Clark, daughter of Walter Reagan and Martha (Stockton) Reagan, was born on December 22, 1923 in Vinita, Oklahoma and passed away in her home in Urbana, Missouri on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. She was at the time of her passing 97 years, 10 months, and 11 days of age.
Maxine spent her early years in Oklahoma, but later moved and grew-up in Colorado. She was united in marriage to her late husband, Ted Clark, on October 11, 1940 in Raton, New Mexico and to this union three children were born. She, along with her husband, operated their dairy farm in Colorado for many years before moving to Missouri in 1957. While in Missouri they owned and operated another farm. Along with a career in farming, Maxine held various jobs in the area. She worked at the Urbana Locker Plant, as a cook for Mom and Pop at Stokesberry Café, and also as a cook for Bobbie Dampier at Knollwood Café. After retirement, she would travel to Texas every winter, and loved to visit Hot Springs, Arkansas to take hot baths in the springs.
Maxine is preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Tommy Clark; and one grandson, Robert Stewart. She is survived by one son, Melvin Clark and his wife Marjorie of Urbana, Missouri; one daughter, Eleanor Stewart of Springfield, Missouri; one daughter-in-law, Diana Clark of Marshfield, Missouri; six grandsons and their spouses; and numerous great-grandchildren. She is loved and will be missed by her family and friends.
Cremation rites are being accorded by Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo, Missouri.
