Maxine Wynn Roberts (Hartville)'s Obituary
Maxine Claxton Wynn-Roberts, daughter of George Calvin and Allie Belle McClanahan Claxton, was born October 10, 1919 in Hartville, Missouri. She departed this life Saturday, November 29, 2014 in the Hartville Care Center, at the age of ninety-five years, one month, and nineteen days.
On June 29, 1935, Maxine was united in marriage to Calvin Wynn. To this union four children were born. She would later marry Clyde Roberts on May 27, 1995.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Calvin Wynn, on February 19, 1990; an infant daughter, Carol; her beloved daughter, Marilyn Kay Holsinger; five sisters and one brother.
Maxine is survived by her husband, Clyde, of the home; two sons, Kent Wynn and wife Leona of Ozark, Missouri, and Terry Wynn and wife Teresa of Hartville, Missouri; a son-in-law, Wayne Holsinger of Carefree, Arizona; two step-sons, David Roberts and wife Theresa of Pomme De Terre, Missouri, and Dale Roberts and significant other Marie, of Bolivar, Missouri; eight grandchildren, Lanette Anzalone and husband Marc of Edwardsville, Arizona, Chris Curtis and wife Jamie of Pittsburg, Kansas, Deborah Effrein and husband Dan of Chicago, Illinois, Russ Wynn and wife Cheri of Harrison, Arkansas; Angela Nuckels and husband Shawn of Hartville, Missouri, Tonia Herbold and husband Chad of Republic, Missouri, Brent Wynn and Megan McCormick of Bois D’Arc, Missouri, Brad Wynn and wife Myra of Mansfield, Missouri; fourteen great-grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives, friends, and neighbors.
Maxine was a lifelong resident of Hartville and had retired from Tobin-Hamilton Shoe Factory after numerous years of employment. She was a staunch and faithful member of the Church of Christ in Mansfield and others throughout her life. She enjoyed time spent with family and friends.
Maxine was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the many wonderful memories she has created for her family and many dear friends.
