Mazie L. Davis (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mazie L. Davis, daughter of Ernest and Nola Moore Davis, was born August 10, 1948, in Lebanon, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, April 6, 2021, in Mercy Hospital, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of seventy-two years, seven months, and twenty-seven days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother, Harvey E. Davis; her maternal grandparents, William and Nellie Moore; her paternal grandmother, Mattie Pendergrass; her paternal grandfather, Snowdie Davis; and her step-grandfather, George Pendergrass.
Mazie is survived by a host of wonderful neighbors and friends, including Dean and Gwen Moore, Helen Cochrane, and Kirk Pearce, all of Lebanon, Missouri; and her beloved dog, “Kodi”.
She was born and raised in the Lebanon area and graduated from Lebanon High School in the Class of 1967. She worked for many years at Breech Medical Center, and then at Lebanon Publishing Company for twenty-three years. Most recently she had worked at the Salvation Army in Lebanon for three years.
Mazie made her profession of faith in Christ early in her life and attended Harvest Tabernacle-United Pentecostal Church, and Union Mission Church.
Mazie was a loving and caring person. We celebrate her life and know she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Graveside service and burial for Mazie Davis will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 14, 2021, in Pleasant Grove Cemetery, near Sleeper, Missouri, with Rev. Don Anderson officiating, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon, Missouri.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial to the Union Mission Church has been established.
