Melinda Elam's Obituary
Melinda Ilene Elam, daughter of Wayne Eugene Owens and LaVonna Faye Loughridge Dollison, was born April 9, 1971, in Kansas City, Missouri. She departed this life Tuesday, May 10, 2011, in her home in Warsaw, Missouri at the age of forty years, one month and one day. She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Dallas Freeman; and a brother, Jimmy Dollison. Survivors include, her children, John Rose of Hollywood, California, and Brittney Olds of Kansas City, Missouri; a sister, Tammy Senyard of Camdenton, Missouri; a brother, Jacob Owens of Mountain Grove, Missouri; nieces and nephews, Ryan Harker, Travis Harker, Cody Harker and Krista Harker and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Melinda was raised in Kansas City, Kansas, and moved to Mountain Grove, Missouri, in 2002. She later moved to Warsaw, Missouri. While in Kansas, she worked as a carhop at Sonic Drive-In. In her spare time, she enjoyed camping and listening to music. She enjoyed meeting people and most of all she enjoyed family gatherings. Melinda created many memories for friends and family to treasure that will live on in their hearts for years to come.
