Melissa Yanch's Obituary
Melissa Ann Oliver Yanch, daughter of Richard Thomas and Geraldine Ann (Oliver) Yanch, was born November 29, 1968 in Nashville, Tennessee. She departed this life Sunday, September 27, 2009 in her home, in Fair Grove, Missouri, at the age of forty years, nine months, and twenty-eight days.
She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Burnis and Hazel Oliver; and her paternal grandparents, Bill and Teresa Yanch.
Melissa is survived by her mother, Geri Yanch, of Hartville, Missouri; her father, Rick Yanch, of Atlanta, Georgia and Steubenville, Ohio; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends.
She was born in Tennessee and moved with her family to South Carolina and later to Atlanta, Georgia at the age of four and lived there twelve years. Then in 1985 she moved to Dallas, Texas, where she remained until making her home in Missouri in 2003. She worked on call for a computer company as a computer programmer for many years.
Melissa had made her profession of faith in Christ. She loved spending time with her family and in her younger years she spent her summer vacations on the farm with her grandparents. In her spare time she enjoyed spending time with her two dogs, Sofia and Spencer, and her horse, Stormey. She was also an avid reader.
Melissa was a kind and caring person with a big heart, she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. We celebrate her life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories she has created for her family and friends.
Services will be 10:30 A.M. Friday, October 2, 2009 in Holman-Howe Chapel, Hartville, Missouri with burial in Steele Memorial Cemtery, in Hartville, Missouri. Visitation will be 7:00-8:30 P.M. Thursday in the funeral home.
