Melvin D Massey (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Melvin Dwight Massey, son of Junior and Nancy Cato Massey, was born September 8, 1975, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, September 10, 2022, in Lake Regional Hospital, in Osage Beach, Missouri, at the age of forty-seven years, and two days.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Tammie Krogel.
Melvin is survived by two daughters, Marisa Massey, and Olivia Massey, both of Lebanon, Missouri; two sons, Kyle Massey, and Hunter Massey, both of Lebanon, Missouri; his parents, Junior Massey, of Cedar Creek, Missouri; his mother, Nancy Clay, and her husband, Gary, of Seymour, Missouri; a brother, Randy Massey, of Lebanon, Missouri; two sisters, Sherry L. Massey, of Marshfield, Missouri, and Brenda L. Massey, of Kansas City, Missouri; a number of nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon area and attended Lebanon R-III Schools. He worked in a factory for a few years, and then began working as a butcher which he did for many years. He was a hard worker and wasn’t afraid of work.
He enjoyed being outdoors where he liked fishing and floating on the river. His children were the most important part of his life and he loved them dearly.
Melvin was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will hold tight to the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
