Memphis Sherrer (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Memphis James Jackson Sherrer, son of James Lewis and Rachel Lynn Sherrer, was born November 13, 2017, in Lebanon, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, December 20, 2020, in his home, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of three years, one month, and seven days.
He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandparents, Adrian and Doris Sherrer; and a cousin, Jailei Luke.
Memphis is survived by his parents, James and Rachel Sherrer, of the home; his brother, Dallas Sherrer, of the home; his sister, Natalie Sherrer, of the home; his maternal grandmother, Anna Pennison, of the State of Louisiana; his paternal grandparents, James and Maxine Sherrer, of Lebanon, Missouri; his maternal great-grandmother, Theresa Breaux, of the State of Louisiana; his paternal great-grandmother, Virginia DeVore, of Lebanon, Missouri; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and many other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in the Lebanon community. He spent a year and one-half in St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital as well as in several other hospitals in over six states through the last two years. He was a constant source of inspiration to his family and friends.
He was loved by everyone and enjoyed being outside. His recliner was his best friend, and he loved his bulldog, Caesar, who was his best buddy. He also loved wrestling.
He had touched the hearts of so many people and was deeply loved by all of his family. His life was very short but he will never be forgotten.
Memphis was a loving son, brother, grandson, great-grandson, nephew, cousin, and was a sweet and caring little boy. We know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 29 at 2 p.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. Visitation will be held Monday, Dec. 28 from 5 - 6:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will be in Barnett Cemetery.
A memorial has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home or mailed to Holman-Howe Funeral Home, 320 S. Adams Ave., Lebanon, MO 65536.
