Michael Everett Allen (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Michael Everett Allen, son of William Jefferson and Katherine Lee Welch Allen, was born January 20, 1951, in Winter Haven, Florida. He departed this life Saturday, January 7, 2017, in Bronson Methodist Hospital, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, at the age of sixty-five years, eleven months, and seventeen days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant son, James Everett Allen.
Everett is survived by a daughter, Angela Diebel, and her husband, Chris, of Free Soil, Michigan; a son, Shawn Allen, of Manistee, Michigan; five grandchildren; four brothers, Marvin Rubin Welch, of Layton, Michigan, William Daniel Allen, and his wife, Barbara, of Huntington, Tennessee, Ray Milton Allen, and his wife, Darlene, of Rader, Missouri, and Ivan Dewayne Allen, and his wife, Carla, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Lena Maxine Peppers, and her husband, Dennis, of Eldridge, Missouri, Hazel Marie Coleman, and her husband, Benny, of Lebanon, Missouri, and Kathy Jeanette Myers, and her husband, Lee, of Falcon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Dorthy, of Decatur, Michigan; as well as a host of other relative and friends.
He was born in Florida but lived most of his life in Michigan. He worked throughout his life as a heavy equipment operator. He had also worked for a nursery, planting trees and other such things.
Everett was saved as a young boy in the Church of the Nazarene in Winter Haven, Florida.
In his spare time he enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activity was fishing. He also liked playing the guitar. He was a quiet man who appreciated the simple things in life. He loved his family dearly and especially enjoyed having time with his grandchildren.
Everett was a loving father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
