Michael Bishop (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Michael Dean Bishop, son of Vincent and Betty Burns Bishop, was born January 7, 1961, in Davenport, Iowa. He departed this life Wednesday, August 29, 2018, in Mercy Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of fifty-seven years, seven months, and twenty-two days.
On October 18, 2003, he was united in marriage to Heather M. Hafele, and they shared the last fourteen years.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Don Bishop.
Michael is survived by his wife, Heather, of the home; two daughters, Nicole Galloway and Melissa Blundy, both of the State of Iowa; two sons, Jebediah Bishop and Adam Bishop, and his wife, Katrina, all of the State of Iowa; a brother, Steve Bishop, of the State of Iowa; nine grandchildren; two sisters, Phyllis Tipton, of the State of Iowa, and Brenda; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Iowa and received his education there. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully for four years. He moved to the Lebanon, Missouri area in 1990, and worked for Voyager Boats and Lebanon Publishing Company for a number of years. He had been employed by Apex Paving for the last several years. After he and Heather were married, they made their home near Conway, Missouri.
He enjoyed being outdoors where his favorite activities were fishing and gardening. He also loved to cook. He had many different personalities, some of which were good.
Michael was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial has been established and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
