Michael David Cave (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Michael David Cave was born March 3, 1963 to William Martin Cave, Jr. and Betty Ann Bloomer in Cheverly, Maryland. He passed away peacefully, knowing he was loved by his family, Tuesday morning, January 14, 2025 in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehab in Lebanon, Missouri. He was sixty-one years, ten months and eleven days of age.
Michael was raised in the Washington D.C. area and moved to Lebanon, Missouri with his family in 1979. He graduated from Lebanon High School in 1983 and worked many years for good friends, Neal and June Porter, in whatever capacity was needed.
He had a devout faith in Jesus Christ and was member at Crossroads Freewill Baptist Church.
Michael was preceded in death by his sister, Kathleen Cavanaugh and his step-father, James Cavanaugh.
He is survived by his mother, Betty Cavanaugh of Lebanon, Missouri; his brother, Ryan Cavanaugh of Lebanon, Missouri; two nieces, Morgan Cavanaugh and Grace Fairchild; and a great-niece, Adeline Fairchild.
Michael had many friends and if you were fortunate to know Michael, you loved him. He loved his church family and two of his favorite people were Doris and Andy Piercy. He was always willing to help out anyone and lend a hand.
He enjoyed watching NASCAR and listening to music. He also liked to study music and had a vast knowledge about many different styles and genres.
His infectious smile and boundless kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew him throughout his life. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them.
Memorial Service for Michael David Cave will be Monday, January 20 at 10 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home.
A memorial to Claws and Paws has been established and donations may be left at the funeral home.
