Michael Coy Findley's Obituary
ichael Coy Findley, son of George and Myrtle Shores Findley, was born February 8, 1944 in Macomb, Missouri. He departed this life Wednesday, June 18, 2008 in Ozark Nursing and Care Center, Ozark, Missouri at the age of sixty-four years, four months, and fourteen days. On December 30, 1962, Michael was united in marriage to Elda Kilburn and together they shared 46 years until her passing, only eighteen days earlier, on May 31, 2008. Along with his wife, Michael was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant daughter, Melinda Jo Findley; three brothers, Jim, Shelby, and Robert Findley; and one sister, Pauline Price. He is survived by two daughters, Pam Headley and her husband, Jon, of Nixa, Missouri, and Becky Evans and her husband, Bruce, of Indian Mound, Tennessee; a son, Michael Darren Findley of the state of Missouri; six grandchildren; two sisters, Jackie Biggs of Springfield, Missouri, and Joanne Beckham and her husband, Ken, of St. Charles, Missouri; two brothers, Noel Findley of Houston, Texas, and Wayne Findley of Kansas City, Missouri; as well as a host of other relatives and many dear friends. Michael had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was of the Baptist Faith. In his spare time, Michael enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family and friends. Michael was a loving father, grandfather and brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will treasure the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, June 21, 2008, in the Holman-Howe Chapel, Mansfield. Burial will be in the Findley Cemetery near Macomb, Missouri.
