Michael Easton (Hartville)'s Obituary
Michael Lane Easton, 58, of Springfield, MO passed away Friday, October 4 th , 2019. Michael was born December 15 th , 1960 to his parents, Albert and Gloria (Barnes) Easton in Fresno, California. A memorial service for family and friends will be held at Elk Creek Baptist Church in Hartville, MO on Monday, October 14 th at 1:00 p.m.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Gloria Easton.
Michael is survived by his loving wife, Cathy, of the home; his step-children, Amanda Wilbers (Andrew), of New Bloomfield, Missouri, Cory Jackson, of Jefferson City, Missouri, and Abigail Jackson, of Springfield, Missouri; his step-grandchildren, Braden Jackson, Dayton Wilbers, Preston Wilbers, and Aiyla Wilbers; his sisters, Judie Aguirre, of California, Susan Leist, of California, and Patti Warfield of Arizona; and many beloved nephews and nieces.
At age 9, Michael and his family moved to Hartville, Missouri where he would stay until enlisting in the US Navy. Michael graciously served in the US Navy for five years before starting his many careers. Michael ultimately gave 20 years of his life to the world of commercial truck driving where he was able to experience almost the entire country.
Michael had a fond love of the sea and enjoyed sailing on his sailboat and has made many voyages to Hawaii and even Alaska. When Michael and his Navy shipmates reunited, the room would become full of laughter as Michael could tell stories of his adventures unlike anyone in this world.
Michael was united in marriage to Cathy Burris on September 24th, 2011, where he was a devoted and loving husband.
Michael was saved and baptized at Elk Creek Baptist Church where he and his wife, Cathy, were members. Michael was a friend to many and knew no stranger. His outgoing nature made him easy to talk to and his stories could entertain you for hours. Michael had a passion for motorcycles and classic cars.
Michael was a beloved husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, and a dear friend. His kindness and laughter will be truly missed by all. We celebrate his wonderful life and will always cherish the many memories he created.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the family through the funeral home.
