Michael Evers' Obituary
Michael Edward Evers, son of Edward Charles and Susan Margaret Vietmeier Evers, was born September 27, 1967 in Saint Louis, Missouri. He departed this life, Sunday, August 26, 2007, in St. John’s Hospital, Springfield, Missouri, at the age of thirty-nine years, ten months and thirty days. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Gus and Marge Vietmeier; paternal grandfather, Joe Evers; and two nephews, Joshua and Jordan Floyd. Surviving are his son, Jeff Evers, of Eldon, Missouri; his parents, Ed and Sue Evers, of Osage Beach, Missouri; a sister, Tina Floyd and her husband, Todd, of Eldon, Missouri; a niece and nephew, Tony and Faith Floyd; his paternal grandmother, Helen Evers, of Osage Beach, Missouri; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends. Mike was raised in Saint Louis and attended school there. He worked for Riverview Gardens School District in Saint Louis County for twenty years. He moved to the lake area about four years ago, where he worked for a sanitation company and was a cook at various restaurants. He was a member of the Elks Lodge #2517 in Osage Beach. In his spare time he loved drinking Pepsi, playing golf and pool and collecting Scooby Doo and Harley Davidson memorabilia. He enjoyed taking care of his Boxer dogs, Bubba and Sable. He was a sports enthusiast and enjoyed watching WWE, NASCAR, especially Tony Stewart and the Dallas Cowboys. Most of all, he loved and enjoyed spending time with his family. Michael was a loving father, son, brother, uncle, grandson, nephew and cousin and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and will miss him greatly. Graveside services will be held at 2:15 p.m. Friday, August 31, 2007, in Allee Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. - 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Services are under the direction of Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Camdenton, Missouri. Memorials to the Ronald McDonald House of Springfield may be made through the funeral home.
