Michael Henry's Obituary
Michael Lee Henry, son of Jerry and Janice Henry, was born April 4, 1967, in Mansfield, Missouri. He departed this life Saturday, February 6, 2010, in his home near Mansfield, Missouri at the age of forty-two years, ten months, and two days. On August 3, 1998, Michael was united in marriage to Tara Ray and together they have shared the past eleven years. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Virgil and Alath Henry and his maternal grandfather, Ray Slate. Michael is survived by his wife, Tara, of the home; two daughters, Michelle Barnes and husband, Ashley, of Rogers, Arkansas, and Caige Henry of the home; a son, Jeremy Henry, of the home; a granddaughter, Gracie Jane Barnes; step children, Jordan and Jake Gunter; his parents, Jerry and Janice Henry of Mansfield; his brother, Marty Henry and wife, Regina, of Mansfield; maternal grandmother, Dorothy Slate of Mansfield; his mother-in-law, Glenda Hannah of Ava, Missouri; father-in-law, Don Woolsey, of Rogers, Arkansas; two nephews, Crayton Henry and Jimmy Rebura; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Mike spent all of his life in the Mansfield area and was a graduate of Mansfield High School in the Class of 1985. He was of the Pentecostal Faith. Mike loved spending time with his friends and family, especially his children and granddaughter. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed going hunting or fishing every time the chance arose. He also enjoyed and was very successful at raising game chickens. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he has created for his family and many dear friends. Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Tuesday February 9, 2010 at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Mansfield. Burial will be in the Mansfield Cemetery. Visitation is Monday evening 6:30- 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Mansfield, Missouri. Return to top
