Another year has come gone without you. Not a day goes by that we don't think of you. I wish my words could actually reach you and Mom, but this is all we have now....our memories. Truths. You'd be so proud of Dexter and the person he is becoming, despite those years he was kept from us. He talks about his memories of Papa often and wishes he would have been able to talk to you one last time, but he understands the selfishness of people and says he wishes people weren't like that. He loves to hear stories about you and Mom. Says he wishes he could see all our pictures from my childhood to see the differences between then and now. (He's a HUGE history enthusiast) We love you Dad. We miss you terribly. I cannot believe it's already been this long since you went to be with Mom.

Dex and I miss you everyday Dad. Now that he's older, he likes to keep his memories more to himself, but he still asks questions about you and says that he misses you and surely wishes he could have at least talked to you one last time. You and Mom are forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. Until we meet again Dad. We love you guys so much.

It's only been a month Dad and I cannot count the number of times I've grabbed my phone to call you. We miss you so much. As you always said "Such is life" ....for several years now I have been catching myself saying "Is that necessary?!" LOL (Although it seems like I say that more to adults than I do to Dexter) We love you and Mom. Rest easy Dad, now you can breathe, you definitely deserve peace and tranquility. Rest in Paradise ❤️

Dexter and I love you so much and we will miss you forever!

I am so thankful that the last time we spoke, even for those few short minutes, I was able to tell you that I loved you before you, "had to get off the phone to use the bathroom" like you said every single time I called. You used the same lame excuse since forever. I had no idea that was going to be the last time we were ever going to speak to one another. Dexter says he really wishes he could have talked to you so he could have told you "all about his interests" because that's what he used to always do with you.

Glad I got to spend a little time with you right before uncle mike! I wish I would have made more time to get to know you. I will always think of you when I see a cowboy movie on tv! Tell aunt Kay and grandma I miss them and give them a hug for me! Love you uncle!
