Michael Lee Mason (Bolivar)'s Obituary
Michael Lee Mason was born in Yuba City, California at Freemont Hospital December 18, 1994 to Emily June Hatcher. He attended school in Oroville, California and graduated from Halfway High School in Missouri. He also graduated from Drury University where he attended police academy. He then worked for Polk County Sheriff, Cedar County Sheriff, El Dorado Springs Police Department, and then Humansville Police Department as a well respected Chief of Police. He had over 8 years of service as a police officer. He married Spencer Michaela Gibbs, November 5, 2024 on the courthouse steps. He enjoyed spending time with family, friends, hanging around bonfires, listening to music, fishing, smoking meat, playing Mario cart, watching documentaries, woodworking, and drawing. He was a tattoo artist before he attended police academy. He will be remembered for his prankster like activities, his huge heart and his glorious sense of humor. He would take in every stray animal he could. He was a huge cat lover. He enjoyed cooking with his children, teaching them science experiments and always let them know how much he loved them. Michael and Spencer were always off on an adventure and spent a lot of time exploring as much as they could. Aunts, uncles, cousins. Step dad Shaun Irwin. Step parents Rex and Michelle. A visitation will be held from 12:00 PM - 2:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home in Bolivar. Funeral services will take place after the visitation at 2:00 PM on Monday, December 29, 2025, at Butler Funeral Home. Burial will take place at Slagle Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the funeral home to help offset expenses.
