Michael "Mick" Ray Williams (Camdenton)'s Obituary
Michael (Mick) Ray Williams, son of Ray and Joyce Williams, was born November 11, 1952, in
Princeton, Illinois. He departed this life Saturday, May 2, 2020.
In the early 1960’s, Mick would vacation with his parents/family here at Lake of the Ozarks.
They came yearly until the entire family decided to move down permanently. By this time Mick
was newly married and was anxious to enjoy this beautiful area with his new bride Kathie
(Katie). Mick was an avid fisherman and for a side job would “guide” others to help them find
pockets of white bass and crappie ready for the taking.
It wasn’t too long until two beautiful girls (Jessica and Amanda) completed their family. While
working at his parents’ marina, Mick lived next door to his folks for a few years. It was a
wonderful time for the family to be close and enjoy many fun times together.
Mick eventually changed directions and went into the auction business, working with Katie to
develop Greenview Auction, a thriving business for many years. Most recently Mick had worked
at Lakeview Resort, filling many roles there.
Mick and Katie created many wonderful memories with their girls, creating special traditions
along the way. In the early 2000’s they were blessed with a grandson (Aiden), who brought
much joy!
With great love can come great sorrow. Less than 2 years ago Mick lovingly cared for Katie as
she lost her battle to cancer. She went on to her eternity with Jesus and now he has joined her.
Also preceding Mick in death was his father, Ray Williams. Those surviving who will miss him
greatly are his mother, Joyce Williams, his daughters Jessica Williams, Amanda Williams, and
grandson Aiden Goodwin; his sisters Kris Williams and Sherrie (Ken) Browning; sister-in-law
Karen (George) Shearer; brothers-in-law Fred (Mimi) Bachman, Ted (Jeanne) Bachman and
Jim (Ellen) Bachman, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.
