Michael E. Petary (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Michael Eugene Petary, son of Franklin Lysander and Norma Joan Rose Petary, was born October 12, 1953, in Ottumwa, Iowa. He departed this life Wednesday, February 10, 2021, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of sixty-seven years, three months, and twenty-nine days.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Charles Petary; and a nephew, Franklin Jones.
Michael is survived by a brother, Robin Petary, of Lebanon, Missouri; three sisters, Machieal Shelby, Tina Cox, both of Lebanon, Missouri, and Tammy Wingfield, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
He was born and raised in Iowa and then moved with his family to Arizona. He lived in Arizona for a number of years, and then moved to Lebanon, Missouri twenty-eight years ago.
Michael had attended Grace Calvary Church for the last several years.
He was an excellent chess player, and loved singing. He was fascinated with old cars. His family was very dear to him.
Michael was a loving brother, uncle, and was a caring friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Michael Petary will be Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021 at 2 p.m. in Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, Missouri with Rev. James Hicks officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial is in Crossroads Cemetery.
