Michael David Piechocki (Buffalo)'s Obituary
Michael David Piechocki was born on October 16, 1972 in Springfield, Missouri. Mike passed away on December 29, 2025 at his home in Elkland, Missouri. Mike was raised in Springfield, Missouri and attended Hillcrest High School. Upon graduation he attended Illinois Wesleyan University for one year before returning home to help with the family business. He married the love of his life Anne (Woodburn) on May 17, 1997. The second love of his life, his son Nathan, came along in 2005. Mike made it his life’s work to always make sure that the two of them were taken care of and knew that they were loved beyond all else. At the time of his passing, Mike worked at City Utilities of Springfield. He always described it as having hit the job jackpot. He enjoyed the work and the people. As one of his co-workers noted, He was loved and admired for his professionalism, integrity, quick wit, and humor. He loved to give people a hard time, but was never mean spirited. Mike rarely sat still and was always busy doing something. He was an excellent cook and there wasn’t a task or problem that he couldn’t solve or fix. He was a life long learner and never settled for the easy answer. He always wanted to know more and to do better. Mike is survived by his wife, Anne and son Nathan, of the home, his parents, Frank (Chris) and Elaine, of Springfield, Missouri, sister Toni and husband Brian of Kansas City, Missouri. He also leaves behind several nieces and nephews, other family members and friends who will all truly miss him. They can all rest assured that he is watching over them and cheering them on until they can all be together again. Cremation rites have been entrusted to Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home, Buffalo, Missouri.
