Michael Southard (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Michael Alvin Southard was born January 25, 1943, in Yucca, Arizona, to Bert and Lorene Inman Southard. He passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025 in his home in Fordland, Missouri. Michael was eighty-two years, eleven months and five days of age.
He spent the early years of his life in Arizona, California and Illinois, but lived most of his life in Lebanon, Missouri. He graduated from Lebanon High School.
On November 25, 1965, he was united in marriage to Patricia Ann Landon and they stood by each other through the good times, as well as the challenging times, for over sixty years.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his loving wife, Patricia, of the home; his daughter, Kim Albright and her husband Jeff of Lebanon, Missouri; his son, Brad Southard and his wife Lorrie of Fordland, Missouri; four grandchildren, Jeffrey Albright and his wife Patricia, Chris Albright and his wife Jessica, Kyle Southard and Austin Southard; thirteen great-grandchildren; two sisters, Patsy Geddes and Barbara Castrillo; and other relatives and friends.
Over the course of his career, Michael was employed at Independent Stave, worked as a truck driver, and was a Detroit Tool. He ultimately made his career in construction and owned Southard Construction for forty years.
He was a charter member of the Elks Lodge and was a Mason of several years.
He loved hunting, fishing and bowling, as well as traveling. He also looked forward to spending time with his friends.
Most of all, Michael enjoyed spending time with his family. They were very important to him and he loved them very much. We celebrate his life and his accomplishments and know his family and friends will treasure the memories they made with him. All services for Michael Southard will be private. Memorials to Good Shepherd Hospice or Alzheimer's Association have been established and contributions may be left at Holman-Howe Funeral, Lebanon, Missouri.
