Michael Williams' Obituary
Michael Anthony Williams, son of Ernest Tilton and Linda Sue Owens Williams was born October 4, 1969 in Springfield, Missouri. He departed this life Sunday, March 27, 2011 in Springfield, Missouri at the age of forty-one years, five months and twenty-three days.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, J.T. Williams; his maternal grandparents, Robert and Mildred Owens.
Michael is survived by his son, Joshua Hunt-Williams of Moss Point, Mississippi; his father, Ernest Williams, of St. Augustine, Florida; his mother, Linda Underwood and her husband, Dale, of Seymour, Missouri; a sister, Lisa Lange and her husband, Dean, of St. Augustine, Florida; a niece, Corlea Lange, of St. Augustine, Florida; his paternal grandmother, Melinda Daniels of Ava, Missouri; a number of aunts, uncles, and cousins; as well as other relatives and many friends.
He grew up in Sparta, Missouri and attended school there. He had lived in Florida for two years, but lived most of his life in the Sparta, Bruner, Ava, and Seymour area and had recently worked as a logger.
He had accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior and was baptized in his youth. He attended the Union Hill Baptist Church in Keltner.
In his spare time he liked to watch basketball and football on television. He especially enjoyed the outdoors where he played horse shoes, went mushroom hunting, and loved to hunt, but his favorite past time was fishing with his mom and friends.
Michael was a loving father, son, grandson, brother and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and accomplishments and will cherish the wonderful memories he created for his family and many friends.
Graveside services will be Thursday, March 31, 2011 at 2:30 p.m. in Owens Family Cemetery near Bruner under direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Seymour.
