Micheal Bennett's Obituary
Micheal Louis Bennett, son of Dennis Leon and Mary Joann Graves Bennett, was born February 9, 1970, in Waynesville, Missouri. He departed this life Tuesday, February 9, 2010, in St. John’s Hospital, in Springfield, Missouri, at the age of forty years. On September 4, 2008, he was united in marriage to Laura Lee Hannig Johnson, and they shared the last fifteen months. Micheal is survived by his wife, Laura, of the home; his parents, Dennis and Joann Bennett, of Hawkins, Texas; his grandmother, Lois Bennett, of Hawkins, Texas; a brother, David W. Bennett, and his wife, Kelly, of Queen City, Texas; a niece, Emilee Bennett, of Queen City, Texas; as well as a host of other relatives and friends. He was born and raised in Missouri, and then moved with his family to Texas when he was in the seventh grade. He graduated from Big Sandy High School in Hawkins, Texas. He continued to live in Texas and attended truck driving school. He then worked as a long haul truck driver for several years. After he and Laura were married, they made their home in the Lebanon, Missouri area. Micheal made his profession of faith in Christ as a child and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church in Hawkins, Texas. He liked collecting stamps and had a fascination with wolves and dragons. He also enjoyed fishing, knitting and crocheting in his spare time. He was a very kind and giving person with lots of love to share. He possessed a delightful sense of humor and loved to laugh. Micheal was a loving husband, son, grandson, brother, and uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that he will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday February 13, 2010 at the Holman- Howe Funeral Home Lebanon. Burail will be at a later date in TX. visitation will follow service under the direction of the Holman-Howe Funeral Home Lebanon, Missouri. Return to top
