Mike Marshall's Obituary
Roy Michael Marshall, son of Robert Wayne and Verda Allene Rooffener Marshall, was born, October 16, 1953 in Camdenton, Missouri. He departed this life, Tuesday, March 30, 2010, in his home, Camdenton, Missouri at the age of fifty-six years, five months and fourteen days. On February 5, 1972 in Myetta Missionary Baptist Church, Camdenton, Missouri, he was united in marriage to Cheryl Lynn Hendrix and to this union, two sons were born. Together they shared the past thirty-eight years of marriage. He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Tina Jump and an uncle, Gene Rooffener. Survivors include his wife, Cheryl Marshall of the home; his sons, Shawn Marshall and wife Melissa and Lance Marshall and wife Samantha; three granddaughters, Emily, Ella and Adalynn; two brothers, Bob Marshall and wife Joyce Ann and Jerry Marshall and wife Brenda all of Camdenton, Missouri; a sister, Bobbie Morgan and husband Kevin of Bolivar, Missouri; a step-father, Gilbert Shipman; an uncle, Dean Rooffener and wife Glenna all of Camdenton, Missouri and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends. Mike was a life-long resident of Camdenton and was a graduate of Camdenton High School in the class of 1971. He worked for his uncle in the Bumper Shop for several years before working in the concrete business for his brother-in-law. He went on to establish Marshall’s Gutter Works which he owned and operated for many years. He was currently working in maintenance for at Camden County Courthouse. Mike made a profession of faith in Christ and attended Decaturville Missionary Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed shooting trap, golf, archery, hunting and fishing. Most of all he enjoyed time spent with his family, especially his granddaughters. He was a loving husband, dad, papa, brother and uncle and a caring neighbor and friend. Although he left us too soon, his memory will carry on in our hearts forever. Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday April 2, 2010 at the Allee-Holman-Howe funeral home. Burial will be in the Allee Memorial Gardens. Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. until service time under the direction of the Allee-Holman-Howe Funeral Home Camdenton, Missouri. Return to top
