On October 27, 1962, he was united in marriage to Joyce Ann Yost, and they shared forty-seven years before her passing on December 21, 2009.
He was also preceded in death by his parents; an infant son, Johnny Gregory; and two sisters, Mary Lou Marose, and Hazel Booth.
“Ras”, as he was called by his family and friends, is survived by two sons, Stanley Gregory, and his wife, Carrie, and Charles “Rick” Anderson, and his significant other, Kelly, all of Eldridge, Missouri; his grandchildren, Curtis, Jenna, Gage, Jessica, Mark, Mike, Ashley, Shannon, and several others; three great-grandchildren, Chyannon, Cayden and Mylie; a great-great grandchild, Luna; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and many friends.
He was a Ford man! He was born and raised in the Eldridge community and attended Alexander School. He joined the military as a young man, and served his country faithfully in the United States Army during the Korean War. After he and Joyce were married, they made their home in Kansas City, Missouri for several years, returning to Eldridge in 1971, where they owned and operated a cattle farm for many years. He enjoyed farming, loved his animals, and was also a good carpenter.
In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, and loved fishing. He liked looking for mushrooms, skeet shooting, playing cards, listening to old country western music, and having family cookouts. His family was very important to him and he especially enjoyed his grandchildren and great-grandchild.
Milan was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate his life and know that his family and friends will treasure the wonderful memories he made for them during his lifetime.
