Mildred L. Donehoo (Lebanon)'s Obituary
Mildred Lee Donehoo, daughter of Harm Cornelius and Mary Irene Moore Donehoo, was born November 8, 1925, in Jackson, Texas. She departed this life Thursday, March 21, 2019, in Lebanon South Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, in Lebanon, Missouri, at the age of ninety-three years, four months, and thirteen days.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two daughters, Shirley Call, Carolyn Newsome and one adopted daughter, Donna Arnold; and a brother, Harm Clifton Donehoo.
Mildred is survived by a granddaughter she raised, Cassie Moppin, of Richmond, Missouri, and daughter, Jackie Box, of Lebanon, Missouri; nine grandchildren, Jeanette, Belinda, Jamie, Gayla, Sheila, Amy, Charles, Junior, and Lanette; a number of great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren and great-great-great-grandchildren; She is also survived by her “Adopted Grandchildren”, Becky Corning, Vinnie Haefner, Bryan Haefner, Sheila Ryan, Buddy Haefner, Matt Haefner and Tim Haefner and many others she collected along the way.
She was raised in Colorado and then lived in Colorado and Oklahoma for a number of years. In 1996, she moved to Lebanon, Missouri and made her home. Through the years, she was a devoted homemaker and a loving caregiver. She also helped raise some of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
In her spare time she enjoyed gardening, and particularly loved animals. She had a number of cats and dogs throughout her lifetime, and was a supporter of the A.S.P.C.A. Her family was very dear to her and she especially enjoyed having time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, great-great-great-grand-children, and was a caring neighbor and friend. We celebrate her life and know that she will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
